What is FPV?
FPV stands for First Person View and is a term linked with drones or unmanned aircraft. Here at Play we love to put what we love in to the place and Sam here is obsessed with FPV.
How is FPV linked with the venue?
This is how Sam got involved with the venue again in the first place, coming down each Thursday to fly around the place with a Micro class FPV drone and being a general nucense with it.
Since then this has grown to a full scale club called Tees Tiny Whoop which runs weekly sessions every Monday providing a place for pilots to practice both freestyle and race skills, some coming in as fresh pilots and getting more and more confident each week and some coming as skilful pilots in their own right.
We have a range of gates and obstacles which we use to get involved with challenges set by the wider FPV community like this:
We also run racing events both in group and time trial formats which we also compete with clubs worldwide, sometimes running livestreams aswel.
